Nawa is a visual effects and postproduction studio based in Bilbao. Since 2017, we have been doing visual effects for film, television and advertising, combining creative supervision, technical development and production workflows designed to make complex visual ideas work on screen.

Nawa was born in Bilbao with a clear purpose: to approach visual effects and postproduction through a close, flexible and technically rigorous process. We work with directors, production companies, agencies and creative teams that need images to be solved with precision, consistency and visual intention.

Our work moves across film, television and advertising. Some projects require invisible visual effects that blend naturally into the shot; others need graphic systems, motion design, finishing or delivery workflows that can support the whole production. In every case, we focus on understanding what the image needs and how to get there efficiently.

Being based in northern Spain shapes the way we work: close to production, adaptable in scale and committed to building long-term relationships with the teams that trust us.

Plan clearly

We help define the right workflow from the beginning: what needs to be shot, what can be solved in postproduction, how assets should move through the pipeline and which technical requirements must be considered before delivery.

Build precisely

We combine artistic criteria with a strong technical foundation. Compositing, cleanup, motion graphics, conforming, finishing and delivery are approached as connected parts of the same process, not as isolated tasks.

Close collaboration

We work with clear communication, realistic planning and direct feedback. Our goal is to become a reliable creative and technical partner, adapting to the size and rhythm of each production without losing control over the result.

We believe that strong images come from a balance between craft, technology and collaboration. Detail matters in every shot, whether the effect has to be invisible or become a visible part of the storytelling. The technical side of production is not separate from the creative one: it supports it, protects it and makes it possible to repeat good results under real production conditions.

Whenever possible, we build our pipeline around open-source tools and open standards. This gives us flexible systems that can evolve with the studio, adapt to different productions and avoid rigid processes that slow down decision-making. Technology is useful when it makes the work clearer, faster and more reliable for the people using it.

Visual effects

Film, TV shows, advertising, music videos, branded content... We cover all your visual effects needs across every stage of production. From early pre-production planning to final compositing and delivery, we help you make the impossible feel real.

Our main focus is compositing: clean-ups, screen replacements, set extensions, keying, rotoscoping, tracking, beauty work, integration of CG elements, and invisible effects that support the story without distracting from it. We also bring 3D experience to the table, allowing us to approach shots with a complete post-production mindset.

Whether you need subtle fixes or complex visual sequences, we work closely with directors, producers, agencies, and post-production teams to find the best solution for each project. Our goal is simple: to make your story believable, polished, and visually powerful.

Editorial

Editing is where the story truly takes shape. From the first rough cut to the final locked edit, we help structure your footage with rhythm, clarity, emotion, and intention.

We work across fiction, documentaries, commercials, social content, music videos, corporate films, and branded pieces. Whether your project needs a strong narrative structure, a fast-paced commercial edit, a clean corporate flow, or a cinematic emotional tone, we adapt the editing process to the needs of each story.

Our approach combines technical precision with creative sensitivity. We take care of pacing, continuity, scene structure, transitions, sound references, temp music, and versioning, always keeping the final audience in mind. We can work independently or alongside directors, producers, agencies, and creative teams to refine the piece until it reaches its best possible version.
